Kristy holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. Her academic background also includes undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Languages (French & Spanish) and a law degree from George Mason University School of Law.

Prior to founding Universal Synergy Group, LLC and helping clients worldwide achieve their cause-related missions, Kristy practiced communications law and served as Regional Counsel & Director of Government Affairs for the 5th largest cable operator in the US.

A Note from Kristy

People often ask how I went from successful corporate attorney to working with nonprofits. I suppose that objectively it's quite a contrast. However, to me it was natural. I had the good fortune of growing up in a family that placed HUGE value on contributing, and I spent weeks and months volunteering at food pantries, after-school programs and on building projects for organizations.

I was fortunate. At a young age, I had the opportunity to learn the importance of (and the responsibility I have in) making a difference in the world.

Now, I get up every day and consciously ask myself this question: How Can I Make an Even Bigger Contribution to the World? I do this though speaking, training and coaching nonprofits. And, this is not just a business to me.This is part of my life's work. I'm so grateful.
